Job Title: Senior Data Modeler

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Modeler to join our team at Lumiq. As a key member of our data modeling team, you will play a pivotal role in translating complex business requirements into data models that align with our client's architectural guidelines and industry best practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop logical data models based on conceptual models and conduct data profiling to deliver high-quality data models and data within defined standards.
  • Analyze requirements and create clarification lists in collaboration with the Lead Data Modeler/Architect.
  • Define data requirements based on understanding of business processes.
  • Create conceptual models in collaboration with the Lead Data Modeler/Architect.
  • Map KPIs to conceptual models and validate with Managers, SMEs, etc.
  • Create logical models capturing entity descriptions, tables, columns, etc.
  • Create tables and relationships between tables.
  • Map conceptual to logical models to ensure coverage.
  • Identify entities and their properties, define attributes and domains, and create physical models based on functional/non-functional requirements.
  • Seek review inputs from the Lead/Manager/Architect on logical and physical models.
  • Define data dictionaries/business glossaries based on developed models, if required.
  • Define data governance models to ensure data quality.
  • Interact with SMEs and architects to validate data model alignment with technology suggested for the project.
  • Interact with the Architect to gather reporting requirements and create models based on the same.
  • Participate in Data Model Health Assessments.
  • Assist Sr. Data Modeler in creating questionnaires, analyzing AS-IS data models, and making recommendations for solutions/roadmaps.
  • Provide technical guidance to design/development teams in understanding data models.
Requirements:
  • Very good knowledge of Dimensional/Relation Data Modeling.
  • At least 7+ years of Data Modeling experience working in large databases.
  • Experience working with ERWIN, DeZign, etc. modeling tools.
  • Knowledge of RDBMS Concepts, Data Analysis, and good SQL knowledge.
  • Technical strength in relational databases and ability to provide design approaches.
  • Prior experience in working in large Enterprise Data Warehouses is expected.
  • Experience in Banking, Health, and Life Insurance domains is preferable.
  • Ability to coordinate and explain with business users to get requirements.
  • Very good and clear communication skills.
  • Experience of working in Onsite-offshore models and with multiple vendors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
