Job Summary

The Senior System Administrator will be responsible for managing our next-generation platforms. The role involves administering virtualization, cloud services, and all types of server roles, as well as designing architectures, developing supporting documentation, and migrating software applications to cloud computing environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hands-on expertise in administering cloud services such as Amazon Web Services, VMware, and Windows Azure.
  • Addressing user tickets regarding hardware, software, and networking by conducting remote troubleshooting.
  • Performing hardware installations, including cabinets, racks, shelves, power strips, cable management, and customer equipment, servers, and network devices.
  • Upgrading BIOS and device firmware on the servers, Xen virtual machines, Linux, and MS Security patches to all servers, including service packs, and performing any other planned maintenance activities on an established cycle.
  • Working with other engineers and consultants to promote customer and user satisfaction and optimize data security.
  • Setting up and maintaining workstations and a small number of local servers.
  • Performing regular reviews on hardware and software needs.
  • Ensuring follow-up, escalation, and proper closure to end-user service requests.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in system administration.
  • Fluent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Client communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Hands-on expertise on Git or similar source control management.
  • Security management and scripting knowledge.
  • Experience with Virtual Machines and scripting languages (PowerShell, VB Script, ShellScript).
  • Excellent knowledge in Windows Administration, Server, and Client.
  • Knowledge in Web Server Administration (Tomcat, IIS) and Backup Automation for VMs.
  • Networking concepts and Active Directory experience.
