Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Platform Engineering team as a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and maintaining our AWS cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Deploy Cloud Infrastructure: Utilize expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch to design and deploy scalable and secure cloud infrastructure.
  • Implement Automation Scripts: Develop and monitor automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud resources.
  • Manage Backup and Recovery Solutions: Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of backup, high-availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Monitor System Performance: Analyze system performance trends and implement improvements to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure Security Compliance: Implement security best practices and compliance standards to safeguard cloud environments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing AWS cloud solutions.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

Skills and Technologies:

  • Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with monitoring platforms such as Data Dog, Orion, Nagios, and WhatsUp Gold.
