Geospatial Solutions Developer Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Geospatial Solutions Developer with 3–5 years of experience in geospatial technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of ArcGIS, Python and JavaScript and deploy scalable solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.

The position performs a wide range of duties including but not limited to:

  • Develop, deploy and maintain connectors to connect with customer interfaces
  • Communicate and understand technical requirements of customers' interfaces and develop appropriate architecture for implementations.
  • Analyze, review and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, and debugging.
  • Ensure that software can be completely integrated into the customer's system.
  • Coordinate software integration and maintain technical documentation.
  • Expert knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • ArcGIS Desktop /Pro, Enterprise Geodatabase, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/Python and understanding how to build high-performance UI applications capable of visualizing large amounts of data.
  • Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., React, HTML, JavaScript, CSS languages and frameworks).
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud is preferable.
  • Proven experience developing dynamic front-end web applications.
  • Writing clean code with well-defined abstractions that reduce complexity.
  • Passionate about implementing responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Knowledge and utilization of REST API and other web services for integrating.
  • Experience with at least one RDBMS (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and strong SQL skills.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration.
  • Experience in Azure Repo with knowledge of git and Azure Containers.
  • Masters degree, GIS, Geographic Science, Computer Science, Survey Engineering, Related Field, or related bachelor's degree with some relevant experience.
