Professional Services Role Overview

The Professional Services team at a leading technology organization is seeking an accomplished Professional Services Engineer to join their ranks. This full-time, hybrid position involves managing customer goals, milestones, and initiatives from inception to resolution. The successful candidate will implement software in customers' environments, maintain and operate it to achieve customer objectives, and develop custom reports.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the smooth operation of technical aspects of software by managing network security and cybersecurity.
  • Providing remote and in-person technical support for Data Dynamics products installed in various servers, storage devices, operating systems, and applications.
  • Addressing common questions regarding installation, operation, configuration, customization, performance, and usage for Data Dynamics products.
  • Applying diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigating causes, and recommending solutions to correct issues.
  • Documenting problems, diagnostic actions performed, customer interactions, and next steps, as well as solutions implemented in a knowledge base.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 2+ years of recent experience in a professional services position with expertise in client/server software environments.
  • Thorough understanding and project management skills necessary for a professional services role.
  • Storage hardware and software knowledge of NAS and Object systems (NetApp, Dell EMC, Azure, AWS, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Windows, Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience creating complex Kibana and/or Tableau and/or PowerBI reports and dashboards.
  • Network setup/routing with mixed LAN/WAN operating system environments and knowledge of DNS/WINS/DHCP/DFS.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills.
