About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated finance professional to join our team in a key position.
The successful candidate will have 6-10 years of experience in finance, with a background in financial reporting and compliance.
The role involves overseeing financial planning and analysis, managing a team of finance professionals, and dealing with regulatory bodies.
- Budgeting & Analysis:
- Review and analyse monthly and quarterly MIS for assigned entities.
- Execute the financial reporting process and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Provide financial analysis and support to senior management teams.
- Analytical review with ratios and trends.
- Prepare budget and forecast numbers as per projections and ensure approved budgets are adhered to.
- Preparing variance analysis of financial performance of both P&L and balance sheets.
- Preparing financial statements for listed companies with notes to accounts, disclosures etc.
- Review of ageing analysis and ensuring timely recovery and settlements.
- Audit and Financial Controls:
- Co-ordinate with auditors and ensure audit processes go smoothly.
- Lead, contribute and participate in the development and implementation of financial controls and systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Review accounts payable & accounts receivable reports to ensure accuracy as per accounting standards.
- Dealing with auditors for quarterly and annual audits and closing of audit issues.
- Perform reconciliations of sub ledgers, general ledgers and control accounts to ensure appropriate controls are in place.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with accounting practices, company policies and procedures and legal regulations.
- Ensuring required certifications on time from respective authorities.
- Driving the SOP and policy implementation.
- Ensure transparency and integrity of financial reporting as per CARO.
- To monitor adherence and compliance to agreements (client and otherwise), covenants/limits of authority and ensure financial terms are met and complied with. Highlights and reports on any variations and deviations.
- Accounting:
- Preparation of tax computation and deferred tax computation and passing monthly entry for current and deferred taxes.
- Review of bank reconciliation and timely accounting.
- Stock reconciliation with books and Demat.
- Ensuring adequacy of supporting for significant transactions.
- Valuation of investments and MTM accounting for the same.
- Review of Related party transactions and limit adherence.
- Ensures that accounting information is always current and up to date and compliance with monthly timetables and deadlines.
- Board & Management Reporting:
- Preparation and reporting to Board, a periodic MIS for all key metrics as per Business Plan.
- Development and presentation of financial reports and Board Meeting packs in attractive and informative formats.
- Others:
- Mentor and develop the finance team to ensure their professional growth and career development.
