Security Operations Center Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Security Operations Center Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for monitoring events and alerts from multiple technologies, detecting malicious activity, and reporting probable cyberattacks to senior analysts.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor real-time security event feeds from various sources to identify potential threats.
- Collaborate with the team to generate transfer of knowledge documentation for other analysts on duty.
- Conduct investigations into security incidents to determine root cause and implement remediation strategies.
- Update security systems regularly to prevent cyberattacks.
- Independently solve complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more critical issues to appropriate staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Administrative skills in operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS.
- Knowledge of security principles, techniques, technologies, and their functions.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry-recognized information security certifications.
- Experience with scripting, analytics, and automation tools.
- Proficiency in security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
