About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Shopify developer with 3–4 years of hands-on experience in custom theme and app development for freelance project-based work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Theme Development: Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript to meet client requirements.
  • Custom Functionality: Build bespoke features tailored to project needs and ensure seamless integration with Shopify APIs.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize store performance for speed, mobile, and SEO best practices to enhance user experience.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve Shopify-related issues promptly to maintain high-quality services.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with design/marketing teams to ensure a cohesive front-end experience and deliver code that meets security and scalability standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven Shopify development experience (freelance or agency) with 3–4 years of hands-on expertise.
  • Strong Technical Skills: Strong command of Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, and experience in Shopify App Development (private/public apps).
  • API Knowledge: Familiarity with Shopify APIs (REST & GraphQL) and hands-on experience with custom checkout flows, B2B features, and app integrations.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver on deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

Nice to Have:

  • Shopify Plus Experience: Experience with Shopify Plus and knowledge of headless Shopify builds (Next.js, React, etc.).
  • Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with tools like Git, Figma, and Google Tag Manager.
