We are seeking an experienced data governance professional to drive the design, implementation, and adoption of Microsoft Purview solutions across enterprise environments. This role focuses on enabling strong data security, compliance, and data classification within Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the deployment and management of Microsoft Purview solutions for data protection and risk management.
  • Define and implement data labeling and protection policies across Microsoft 365, hybrid, and cloud-native environments.
  • Configure and manage data loss prevention, insider risk management, records management, and eDiscovery in Purview.
  • Integrate Purview with Microsoft Defender, Azure Identity (Azure AD), Intune, and Exchange for end-to-end compliance enforcement.
  • Assess current data estate, identify compliance gaps, and propose remediation strategies.
  • Support data cataloging, lineage tracking, and metadata management to strengthen governance.
  • Collaborate with security, compliance, and business teams to ensure alignment with regulatory standards (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO, SOX, etc.).
  • Prepare and deliver technical documentation, training, and adoption workshops.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Purview and its integrations.
Requirements:
  • 5–7 years of experience in Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance or Information Protection.
  • Strong, practical expertise with Microsoft Purview, including Compliance Manager, Data Loss Prevention, Information Protection, Insider Risk, eDiscovery, and Records Management.
  • Proven track record with sensitivity labels, retention policies, and data classification frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 security and compliance capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Azure services, Azure Identity, Intune, Exchange, and SharePoint Online.
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, etc.) and ability to map them into technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
