Software Engineer for Middleware Infrastructure

We are seeking a skilled software engineer to enhance our middleware infrastructure's observability strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring Always On availability for critical payment systems by implementing modern monitoring solutions and driving automation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have experience with observability solutions, Python programming, and middleware products. You should also have a working knowledge of public cloud platforms and their monitoring capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the review and enhancement of our observability strategy for the middleware portfolio
  • Migrate from Splunk to ELK stack while ensuring seamless transition and improved functionality
  • Develop and maintain integrations with internal AI ML frameworks to enhance operational support and incident response
  • Evaluate opportunities and implement OpenTelemetry (OTEL) across our middleware stack
  • Design and implement observability strategies for middleware products deployed on public cloud platforms
  • Develop deep expertise in our middleware technologies and identify automation opportunities using Python
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide critical support for middleware infrastructure, troubleshooting complex issues in production environments

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree
  • 5+ years of experience working with observability solutions and strong Python coding skills
  • Working knowledge of middleware products and experience with monitoring and logging infrastructure design and implementation
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms and their monitoring capabilities
  • Experience with containerization technologies and background in Site Reliability Engineering or similar operational roles
