About the Role

We are seeking a Data Insights and Sourcing Manager to join our team at Bristol Myers Squibb. As a key member of our global sourcing function, you will be responsible for leading data analytics efforts to optimize procurement decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with procurement stakeholders to understand their needs and recommend solutions as it pertains to data analysis and interpretation to support decision making and category planning.
  • Develop datasets by preparing and combining raw data from various sources for analysis.
  • Conduct financial analyses on supplier proposals and generate recommendations for supplier selection or negotiation strategies.
  • Develop or leverage quantitative methodologies to predict future demand or pricing trends.
  • Create visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards) to communicate findings effectively.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement new technologies to enhance procurement efficiency. Your expertise in data analytics, category management, project and performance management will drive business results and contribute to the development of strategic category plans.

Requirements
  • B.S./B.A. (Business, Science or Engineering is desirable)
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience with at least 3 years in business analytics or relevant experience (preferably in the life sciences industry)
  • Experience in leveraging industry standard data analytical & visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, SAP/ERP planning modules, etc.
  • Understanding of the value proposition of the procurement function and a passion to support efforts that bring more medicines, to more patients faster.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with and manage internal stakeholders up to some senior leaders within a highly matrixed organization, working across cross-functional, cross-organizational teams.
