Urban Landscape and Project Coordinator

Raahgiri Foundation seeks a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to support our Cities and Urban Landscape initiatives. This role is ideal for an individual with a passion for creating people-centered urban spaces and strong understanding of project coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the development and execution of urban landscape projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and objectives.
  2. Conduct site visits and gather data to inform project planning and design.
  3. Assist in preparing design concepts, presentations, and reports related to complete street projects.
  4. Coordinate with stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and consultants, to ensure effective project implementation.
  5. Facilitate community consultations and workshops to gather valuable feedback.
  6. Conduct research on best practices in urban landscape design and complete streets, supporting project development.
  7. Collect and analyze data to evaluate project outcomes and inform future initiatives.
  8. Prepare project documentation, progress reports, and presentations.
  9. Coordinate logistical aspects of project-related events and activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in urban planning, landscape design, or project coordination.
  • Solid understanding of urban planning principles and sustainable development practices.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, GIS) is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Possession of a passion for creating vibrant and accessible urban spaces.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with government agencies and NGOs.
  • Experience in conducting site audits and surveys.
  • Knowledge of complete streets design principles.
