STEM Data Specialist

As a STEM Data Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the foundation of our AI technology. Working closely with your team and the STEM Lead, your primary responsibility will be to create, review, and refine high-quality data that enhances the AI's ability to teach millions at scale through technology.

The ideal candidate for this role is someone with a strong academic background in STEM fields, with excellent conceptual understanding and the ability to solve complex problems. You will have experience in teaching, tutoring, or content creation, with a proven track record of producing high-quality educational materials.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Meticulously creating and refining high-quality data, including detailed solutions, explanations, and step-by-step derivations for STEM problems across various difficulty levels.
  • Evaluating AI-generated responses for correctness, coherence, pedagogical soundness, and adherence to specific instructions.
  • Providing clear, constructive, and actionable feedback to the AI model, identifying errors, inaccuracies, or areas for improvement in its reasoning and presentation.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and accurately. You will also need to stay updated with advancements and common curriculum standards in your respective STEM field to ensure content relevance and accuracy.

Additionally, you will work closely with your team and the STEM Lead to ensure consistency in data creation and evaluation processes. You will adhere to established workflows, deadlines, and project requirements set by the STEM Lead, and communicate clearly about challenges encountered in data creation or AI evaluation to facilitate timely resolution.
