About the Role

The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for providing managed services to clients to ensure their IT infrastructure and systems remain operational.

Through proactive monitoring, identifying, investigating, and resolving technical incidents and problems, the Senior Network Engineer will restore service to clients.

The primary objective of this role is to proactively review client requests or tickets and apply technical/process knowledge to resolve them without breaching service level agreement (SLA).

The Senior Network Engineer will focus on second-line support for incidents and requests with a medium level of complexity and will focus across two or more technology domains - Cloud, Security, Networking, Applications and / or Collaboration etc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Five (5) years industry experience in a network operations/support environment; relevant experience in Cisco ACI
  • Cisco CCNP;
  • Knowledge on ITIL framework, Cisco Network Devices
  • Technical ability to provide Support to L1 Engineers;
  • Good understanding of incident management activities;
  • Good ability to follow and documented operational processes.
  • Experience with ticket management and change request management systems;
  • Experience with network monitoring / management tools/ analysis tools;
  • Responsible for the Cisco ACI network architecture component(s)
  • Understand and support Data Center Networks utilizing Cisco ACI and Nexus 9k platforms
  • Integrate service appliances to Cisco ACI deployments to include Application Delivery Controllers and Firewalls.
  • Good understanding of Inter and Intra Tenant traffic flows, contracts
  • Experience in L2 outs, L3 outs, VMM integration
  • Experience in Troubleshooting traffic flows, routing and L3 policies
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
  • Experience with liaising with vendors to validate hardware parameters and functionality then replace if necessary
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills.
