At pipe-solar, we seek a skilled Photovoltaic (PV) Designer to join our team.

About the Role:
  • Design residential solar PV systems based on site data and project specifications
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, utility standards, and jurisdictional requirements
  • Review and incorporate as-built site information including photos, roof measurements, and shading
  • Communicate with internal teams to ensure designs align with customer expectations and project requirements

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to deliver quality results within short timelines. Strong proficiency with at least one major solar design platform and familiarity with Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) compliance requirements are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design, develop, and deliver high-quality solar system layouts in accordance with company standards and regulations
  2. Analyze site data and optimize system performance for efficient energy production
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones and deadlines
  4. Maintain accurate records and provide timely updates to stakeholders

Bonus qualifications include experience working in a high-volume design environment and familiarity with Slack for communications.
