Job Summary:

  • As a senior financial accountant, you will be responsible for coordinating with vendors regarding payments, refunds, and vendor reconciliations. The role requires strong analytical skills to ensure accurate and timely payment processing.
  • You will also be responsible for updating the supplier reconciliation portal, working with clients to obtain missing vendor bills, and securing approvals.
  • In addition, you will generate weekly AP reports, process vendor payments and allocations in the company's books, and review vendor reconciliations performed by team members.
  • Another key responsibility is requesting W9 forms from vendors and preparing 1099 workings. You will also conduct tax return reconciliations and review sales entries on a weekly basis.
  • Furthermore, you will examine sales tax and prompt tax working files, then calculate use tax. Additionally, you will prepare CRT/TPT/8027 and other county tax returns, compile balance sheet reconciliations, and respond to emails in a timely manner (within 48 hours).
  • Delivering AP reports to clients in a timely fashion and meeting internal month-end closing deadlines for financials are also critical responsibilities.
  • As a senior financial accountant, you will also be required to train new team members and assist them in settling into their roles.
  • Lastly, you will ensure adherence to internal processes and systems, be open to learning new processes, and take on assigned new roles.
  • Attend internal training and development sessions for personal and professional growth, mentor and train associates in day-to-day operations.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Commerce degree is required.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective English communication skills are necessary.
  • The ideal candidate must be a team player who can work under stringent deadlines and exhibit critical thinking and problem-solving attitude.
