Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle databases in various environments.

The role requires strong expertise in Oracle 12c/19c database administration, including RAC, Data Guard, ASM, OEM, RMAN, Data Pump, SQL & PL/SQL development, performance tuning and troubleshooting (AWR, ASH, ADDM), Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.

In addition, the ideal candidate should have experience with cloud-hosted Oracle DB solutions, such as OCI, AWS RDS, Azure, and knowledge of database security standards & compliance frameworks.

Furthermore, the candidate should be familiar with DevOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and Git.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's / master's degree in engineering (Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related)
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in mission-critical environments
  • Strong expertise in Oracle 12c/19c database administration
  • Experience with cloud-hosted Oracle DB solutions
  • Knowledge of database security standards & compliance frameworks
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases in various environments
  • Manage Oracle listener, network services, and connectivity
  • Monitor database health and availability using OEM and custom monitoring scripts
  • Perform advanced SQL query tuning, indexing strategies, and optimizer statistics management
  • Optimize schema design, partitioning strategies, and storage allocation
  • Design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions using RMAN, Data Guard, and RAC
  • Configure and manage standby databases for DR readiness
  • Validate backup integrity and conduct regular DR drills
  • Guarantee RPO/RTO compliance and high availability SLAs

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) or Big Data ecosystems (Hadoop, Spark)
  • Prior experience in fintech, banking, or lending domain
  • Knowledge of GoldenGate or advanced replication solutions
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized database deployments
  • Certifications (Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM))
