**Color Grading Specialist Role**

About the Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Color Grading Specialist to join our growing video production team. As our in-house colorist, you will play a crucial role in defining the visual tone and color language across various content formats.

You'll bring a deep understanding of color science, S-Log/RAW workflows, and visual storytelling to enhance mood, tone, and brand consistency. Your role is pivotal in ensuring every frame we release meets high cinematic standards, elevating the learner's experience and reinforcing our brand's visual excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Color Grading & Look Development: Perform color correction and grading on footage shot in S-Log/RAW profiles, delivering high-quality, visually consistent results across a range of formats.
  • Develop and Maintain a Cohesive Color Palette: Create a customized color palette that aligns with each project's narrative, mood, and branding.
  • Custom LUTs and Grading Templates: Develop and maintain custom LUTs and grading templates for consistent use across recurring content formats.
Technical Workflow & Delivery:
  • Manage DaVinci Resolve Workflows: Conform, color grade, render, and deliver high-quality final outputs using DaVinci Resolve (or equivalent professional grading suites).
  • Collaborate with Cinematographers and Editors: Work closely with cinematographers and editors to ensure captured footage maximizes grading flexibility.
Quality Control & Consistency:
  • Conduct QC Checks: Ensure there are no color discrepancies, banding, or compression issues in final outputs.
  • Maintain Visual Consistency: Ensure visual consistency across multi-camera setups, different locations, and varying lighting environments.
Collaboration & Creative Input:
  • Work Closely with Directors and Post-Production Teams: Interpret creative briefs and bring the director's vision to life through color grading.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Colorist in a professional environment.
  • Expertise in DaVinci Resolve Studio (primary) with familiarity in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or other NLEs an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in color-managed workflows, ACES, and HDR grading is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with footage from Sony FX series, Canon Cinema, Blackmagic, and RED cameras.
  • Attention to detail, obsessive about consistency, color balance, and technical accuracy.
  • Creative sensibility, strong sense of visual storytelling, and ability to enhance mood and emotion through color.
