As a Backend Engineering Director, you will drive the strategic vision for our backend services and lead technical discussions to shape new feature designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architectural Leadership: Develop and implement scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend services architecture.
  • Technical Excellence & Mentorship: Provide expert guidance to developers on code quality, design principles, and rigorous code reviews.
  • Hands-on Contribution: Contribute to complex feature implementation, conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs), and improve system scalability.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps and Quality Assurance teams to ensure stable deployments and releases.
  • Innovation & Process Improvement: Drive process innovation within the engineering team, identifying new ideas to enhance quality and speed.
Skills & Experience
  • Experience: Proven experience in backend architecture and development, leading design discussions and driving technical vision.
  • Expertise: Excellent understanding of building horizontally scalable backend services using popular frameworks like , and Express.
  • Scalability & Performance: Deep knowledge of performance tuning and designing applications that scale efficiently.
  • Database Proficiency: Experience with data modeling in RDBMS (e.g., Postgres/MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills to guide a team of backend developers.
Good to Have
  • Familiarity with streaming and messaging platforms like KAFKA and RabbitMQ.
  • Knowledge of frontend development using React or React Native.
