About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Full Stack System Developer to join our team. This role requires architecting and implementing scalable system architectures and services that drive PetYosa's core functionality. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Node.js, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and cloud platforms like GCP or AWS.

The successful candidate will design and implement data models and database schemas optimized for performance and operational efficiency. They will also implement robust authentication, authorization, payments integrations, audit trails, and secure data handling for sensitive information.

The Full Stack System Developer will own critical system components that power bookings, payments, telemetry ingestion, medical records, and marketplace workflows. They will collaborate closely with product, mobile, AI, and hardware teams to translate business requirements into reliable system solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable system architectures and services.
  • Develop data models and database schemas for optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Implement robust security measures, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
  • Design and operate data ingestion pipelines for IoT devices.
  • Implement caching, queueing, and backpressure strategies to ensure system reliability.
  • Ship observability and create runbooks for common operational scenarios.
  • Write production-quality tests, CI/CD pipelines, and support release management and incident response.
Requirements
  • 2–4 years of experience building production systems with Node.js.
  • Strong experience with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB.
  • Practical knowledge of caching (Redis) and message queues (Kafka / RabbitMQ / SQS).
  • Cloud experience (GCP or AWS).
  • Familiarity with Docker and basic orchestration concepts.
  • Practical understanding of security best practices.
  • Track record of owning features end-to-end and shipping in a fast, iterative environment.
