We are seeking an ambitious individual to join our development team as a Web Development Intern. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging and accessible web applications that cater to the needs of Deaf learners.

About the Role
  • The intern will work on developing learner and teacher dashboards in Next.js using TypeScript, Node.js, and React Server Components.
  • They will design secure edge functions, authentication flows, and storage with Row-Level Security using Supabase.
  • Additionally, they will model and optimize content, progress, and analytics data in MongoDB.
  • Integrating real-time captioning and sign-language video assets is also part of their responsibilities.
  • They will create data pipelines for AI models.
  • The intern will write unit/integration tests and perform peer code reviews.
  • Profile performance, minimize bundle sizes, and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
  • Collaborate with Operations to roll out releases to partner Deaf schools and gather feedback.
Requirements
  • A relevant degree or equivalent self-taught experience with a focus on practical skills is required.
  • Hands-on experience with React/Next.js, TypeScript, and Node.js is necessary.
  • Working knowledge of Supabase or strong SQL fundamentals is essential.
  • Basic proficiency in MongoDB CRUD, schema design, and aggregation is expected.
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub flow and modern JS tooling is required.
