Job Description

The Raw Materials Procurement Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the company's success by overseeing the acquisition of essential raw materials.

This involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and maintaining timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and an in-depth understanding of the raw materials market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement to Pay Management: Manage purchase requisitions, float RFQs, prepare comparative quote sheets, negotiate best prices, and issue POs as per approval.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw materials to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Analyze market trends and identify potential risks and opportunities in the raw materials market.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will require:

  • Mastery of supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on raw materials.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and build strong partnerships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, including SAP.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
