Process Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Chemical Process Engineer with experience in designing and optimizing column internals. The ideal candidate will play a key role in process design, performance evaluation, and customer support to ensure high-efficiency solutions for clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Optimize Column Internals: Utilize expertise in mass transfer and separation processes to develop innovative solutions that enhance process efficiency.
  • Conduct Process Simulations: Perform detailed calculations and simulations to evaluate the feasibility of distillation, absorption, and stripping applications.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with mechanical and production teams to ensure the design feasibility and manufacturing compatibility of internals.
  • Perform Hydraulic and Efficiency Calculations: Apply knowledge of fluid mechanics, heat & mass transfer, thermodynamics, and pressure drop calculations to recommend suitable internals for specific process requirements.
  • Prepare Technical Reports: Develop comprehensive technical reports, datasheets, and proposals for clients.
Requirements
  • Graduate Degree: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Process Design Experience: 2-5 years of experience in process design or equivalent experience in mass transfer or column internals manufacturing.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in process simulation tools such as Aspen Plus, HYSYS, or ChemCAD; experience with technical drawings and CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and customers.
  • Mass Transfer Technology: Up-to-date knowledge of mass transfer technology and process engineering best practices.
