Azure Cloud Foundation Engineer Role Summary:

Job Description

This role requires a skilled Azure engineer to manage day-to-day operations and ensure the reliability of the cloud foundation stack. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues with vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and vROps.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize capacity and performance.
  • Perform routine health checks and remediation across vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and vROps.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should have hands-on experience with vSphere administration in production, including cluster design, HA/DRS, VM lifecycle, and patching/updates. They should also have practical experience with vSAN operations, including policy-based management and health/performance troubleshooting.

  • Strong understanding of data center networking (L2/L3 fundamentals) and storage basics.
  • Experience with vROps/Aria Operations for monitoring, alerting, capacity planning, and reporting.
  • Comfortable with change/incident processes (ITIL-aligned) and writing/runbook documentation.
