Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Node.js Developer to join our team at Acuvate. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications using Node.js.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and efficient Node.js applications.
  • Implement security patches and procedures to ensure the integrity of our applications.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to ensure the growth of our development team.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and apply them to our operations and activities.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and communicate progress effectively.
  • Implement and improve application logging services.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to understand end-user requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Work with the QA team to develop testing protocols and identify challenges.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Design experience using Node, Express, and REST.
  • Experience in developing APIs and RESTful services using Node.js.
  • Deep understanding of client-side development, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6, jQuery, JSON, and AJAX.
  • Experience with handling web services, RESTful APIs, JSON, and SQL.
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs, including Google APIs.
  • Knowledge of frontend CSS frameworks like Bootstrap, Material UI, and pre-processors like SASS and LESS.
  • Experience with Azure API Gateway.
  • Strong understanding of JWT tokens and access control API development.
  • Experience with Git and DevOps is an added advantage.
  • Experience with Node-based application and services deployment approaches.
