Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our agricultural development initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying potential locations for cropping system designs, including agroforestry, and implementing landscape resource conservation measures such as land and water conservation. They will also work with farmers to undertake participatory productivity enhancement trials and livelihood improvement interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate potential locations for different cropping system designs, including agroforestry.
- Implement landscape resource conservation measures, such as land and water conservation.
- Work with farmers to undertake participatory productivity enhancement trials and livelihood improvement interventions.
- Develop and implement capacity-building programs for farmers and field functionaries.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- MSc or MTech in Agricultural Engineering, Agroforestry, Soil Science, Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Horticulture, or related disciplines.
- A minimum of 5-15 years of experience in the relevant field, preferably with expertise in farming system design.
- Fluency in oral and written English and Hindi is preferred.
