Job Title: Financial Director

The role of the Financial Director involves overseeing financial operations across multiple international offices. Key responsibilities include ensuring accuracy of financial reporting, adherence to global regulatory requirements, and development of efficient financial processes.

Financial Operations:
  • Preparation and accuracy of financial statements for all international offices in compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable standards.
  • Timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Coordination with external auditors to support audit requirements across regions.
  • Collaboration with tax advisors to ensure compliance with global tax laws, transfer pricing, and intercompany transactions.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Participation in the global budgeting process and assistance in consolidating financial data across regions.
  • Monitoring financial performance metrics including cash flow, profitability, and budget variances.
  • Support for financial forecasting and scenario analysis.
Cash Management & Treasury:
  • Assistance in managing global cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity.
  • Support initiatives to optimize working capital and streamline fund transfers across international entities.
  • Help monitor foreign exchange exposures and support hedging strategies.
Multicurrency Book Management:
  • Maintenance of accurate accounting records for transactions involving multiple currencies across global entities.
  • Ensurance of compliance with currency conversion policies, FX rate applications, and related accounting treatment.
  • Work with finance teams to reconcile currency gains/losses and ensure accurate reporting.
Process Improvement & Systems Management:
  • Identification and support of improvements in financial processes to drive global consistency and efficiency.
  • Ensurance of adherence to internal controls and financial policies across regions.
  • Assistance in ERP and financial system integrations and upgrades.
Leadership & Team Support:
  • Collaboration with global finance teams to ensure consistency in financial practices and reporting.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to junior finance team members.
  • Acting as a liaison between regional teams and senior leadership on financial matters.
Strategic Financial Support:
  • Assistance in preparing financial analysis to support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Support business risk assessments and cost-benefit analysis for international projects.
  • Contribution to strategic financial planning efforts in collaboration with senior finance leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting field.
  • 6–10 years of relevant finance or accounting experience in a multinational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and international taxation.
  • Experience with multi-currency accounting and foreign exchange management.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
