Kubernetes Engineer Position

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Kubernetes engineer. We are looking for a skilled professional who can design, deploy, and maintain a robust, scalable, and secure internal Kubernetes/Container platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Platform Design and Deployment: Develop a Kubernetes platform that supports the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
  2. Automation and Tooling: Create and maintain automation scripts, tools, and documentation to streamline deployment and management processes.
  3. Platform Stability and Performance: Ensure platform stability and performance by proactively monitoring system metrics, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing resources.
  4. Observability Solutions: Implement observability solutions, such as monitoring, logging, and tracing tools, to gain valuable insights into platform performance and application behavior.
  5. Technical Guidance and Support: Provide technical guidance and support to development teams, helping them adopt the Kubernetes platform and improve their application deployment and management capabilities.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams: developers, architects, and project managers to ensure that solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and meet business requirements.
  7. Security and Compliance: Ensure that solutions are secure and compliant with industry standards and regulations.
  8. Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with OpenShift services and best practices. Maintain the container platform which consists of other Container Technologies like Tanzu Application Services, Tanzu Kubernetes Grid, AKS etc., and continuously improve skills and knowledge through training and certification programs.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: At least 7+ years of experience in OpenShift Engineering including some public cloud experience.
  2. Platform Engineering: Experience in platform engineering, infrastructure automation, SRE, or a similar role.
  3. Kubernetes Architecture: Understanding of Kubernetes architecture, concepts, and components, with hands-on experience in building and managing Kubernetes platforms in production environments.
  4. Programming Skills: Proficiency in a procedural or scripting programming language (e.g., Python, Go).
  5. Containerized Applications: Experience designing and deploying containerized applications on Kubernetes.
  6. Automation Tools: Experience with automation tools, such as Helm, Terraform, Ansible, and Azure DevOps.
  7. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
