Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day execution of general ledger processes. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge and be able to work effectively with clients to understand financial processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports clients with understanding general ledger processes, including account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Performs accounting functions related to account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Coordinates and implements accounting work and projects as assigned.
  • Generates accurate and timely reports and presentations.
  • Analyzes information and evaluates results to solve problems.
  • Compiles, codes, calculates, audits, or verifies financial data.
  • Balances credit card ledgers and verifies contracts for groups.
  • Performs credit reference checks for direct billed groups.
  • Ensures compliance with Federal and State laws regarding fraud and collection procedures.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a 4-year bachelor's degree in finance and accounting or a related major (no work experience required), or a 2-year degree in Finance and Accounting or a related major with 1 year of experience in finance and accounting.

  • Managing Work, Projects, and Policies: Coordinates and implements accounting work and projects as assigned.
  • Maintaining Finance and Accounting Goals: Achieves performance, budget, and team goals.
  • Demonstrating and Applying Accounting Knowledge: Demonstrates knowledge of job-relevant issues, systems, and processes.
