Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist

 

The Financial Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our organization. This includes ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes, maintaining accurate records, and providing timely financial reports to stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Accounting: The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing project finances, including cash flow and financial reports. They will work closely with the finance team to ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
  • Financial Reporting: Providing timely and accurate financial reports is critical to the success of our organization. The Financial Operations Specialist will be responsible for preparing and disseminating financial reports to stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Cash Flow Management: Effective cash flow management is essential to ensuring the continued operation of our organization. The Financial Operations Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and managing cash flow to ensure efficient operations.
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations is a top priority for our organization. The Financial Operations Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions comply with applicable laws and regulations, including TDS, GST, PF, and FCRA.
  • Payroll: Managing payroll processes, including preparation, tax calculation, and monthly reconciliation, is also a key responsibility of the Financial Operations Specialist.

 

Requirements:

  • Good Excel Skills: The ideal candidate will have excellent Excel skills, including proficiency in creating and managing spreadsheets, charts, and other financial data visualizations.
  • Effective Communication: Strong communication skills are essential for this role, as the Financial Operations Specialist will be working closely with colleagues across different departments and locations.
  • Experience in Project Accounting: Experience in project accounting, preferably in an NGO, is highly desirable for this role.
  • FCRA Exposure Preferred: While not required, experience with FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) is preferred, as it demonstrates a strong understanding of Indian non-profit regulations.
