As a seasoned Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable data solutions that drive business growth. A strong background in PostgreSQL, cloud data architectures, and modern data pipelines is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build a PostgreSQL-based data warehouse for analytics and reporting to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Develop robust data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and storage using batch and streaming technologies to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Architect and maintain a secure and efficient data lake on AWS infrastructure to support growing data needs.
  • Optimize queries, indexing, and schema design for performance and scalability in PostgreSQL to minimize latency and maximize throughput.
Collaboration & Delivery
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Translate complex business and analytics requirements into scalable data models and pipelines to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Data Quality & Governance
  • Implement robust data quality checks, lineage tracking, and metadata management to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Future-Readiness
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest data engineering tools and frameworks to remain competitive and innovative.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform development with a proven track record of success.
  • Expertise in PostgreSQL: advanced SQL, query optimization, schema design, and data modeling to drive data insights.
  • Strong experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using Python or open-source frameworks to ensure efficient data processing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with hosted data warehouse platforms such as DBT, Snowflake, or Databricks to leverage cloud capabilities.
