Job Title: Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL DBA to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database administration, performance optimization, and query tuning for large-scale databases (1000–2000 GB).

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Administer, maintain, and optimize large-scale PostgreSQL databases.
  • Perform query optimization, database tuning, and indexing strategies for high-performance applications.
  • Implement and monitor database backup, recovery, and failover strategies.
  • Manage database security, roles, and access privileges.
  • Work with development teams to troubleshoot and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures.

Key Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in PostgreSQL DBA.
  • Strong experience in performance optimization & query tuning.
  • Hands-on with Linux / openSUSE environment.
  • Proven work with related toolkit utilities.

Favorable Skills:

  • Knowledge of replication, partitioning, and clustering.
  • Experience in automation and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar).

The role requires hands-on experience in PostgreSQL on Linux / openSUSE environments along with familiarity in using tools such as timesqldb and related toolkits.
