Job Overview:

A key professional in this role will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements. Strong expertise in financial records management, bookkeeping, and tax compliance is essential for ensuring timely payments, collections, and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately maintain and manage all financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
  • Regularly reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Prepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing reports to provide a comprehensive view of the company's financial performance.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections to optimize cash flow.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations, filing deadlines, and reporting requirements to minimize risk and avoid penalties.
  • Provide insightful support to clients on tax planning, minimizing tax liabilities while maximizing legal deductions.
  • Review and analyze tax notices and correspondence, assisting clients in resolving any issues or discrepancies.
  • Offer expert guidance on withholding taxes, foreign investments, and treaty benefits to help clients make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with clients to provide regular updates on their financial performance and tax obligations.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or EA (Enrolled Agent) qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Candidates pursuing CPA/EA are welcome to apply.
  • 0-3 years of experience in US bookkeeping, tax preparation, or financial compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IRS regulations, and state-specific tax laws.
  • Fresh graduates with a solid understanding of US taxation and accounting practices are encouraged to apply.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting and tax software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, TurboTax, Lacerte).
  • Advanced knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and US reporting standards.
  • Ability to prepare financial statements, manage ledgers, and support audits.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with high accuracy.
