Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor production application environments and take necessary actions to ensure system stability and availability.
  • Perform analysis and troubleshooting to correct operational issues within the CSE applications portfolio.
  • Provide second-line and third-line support for a suite of CSE applications requiring systems and domain knowledge skills.
  • Execute software initiatives undertaken by the global CSE Engineering Systems team.
  • Develop knowledge and expertise in unfamiliar topics relevant to the needs of the CSE Engineering Systems team.
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining, and sharing application systems architecture and technical documentation.
  • Guide and act as a consultant to junior level team members in developing their technical, troubleshooting, and problem resolution skills.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in any Engineering discipline, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Control & Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a minimum of 4 years related experience, with average experience of 6-10 years.
  • Ability to work independently and keep team management adequately informed.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Control and Instrumentation software in the area of instrumentation, distributed control systems, programmable logic controllers, human machine interface, and safety instrumented systems.
  • Fluent coding skills using.NET VB, SQL, VBA, VBScript, PowerShell, Power BI.
  • Must be able to solve open-ended technical problems and be proficient in the analysis, design, test, and implementation of solutions utilizing the appropriate technologies.
  • Must be well organized with a high degree of adaptability, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, with an aptitude for learning new technologies and committed to customer service.

Preferred Experience:

  • Understanding of software applications used in Control and Instrumentation engineering from vendors including but not limited to Hexagon, AVEVA, Fisher, Flowserve, Control-Soft, Exida, and Siemens.
  • Familiarity with plant process automation using control and instrumentation technologies.
  • Working experience with software design, architecture, and deployment methodologies.
  • Working experience with networks, active directory domain security, application programming, software installation, and maintenance.
