
Medical Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cardiology Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for performing a range of diagnostic tests and procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
- Diagnostic Tests:
- Trans thoracic echocardiogram - This involves using sound waves to create images of the heart's structure and function.
- Contrast echocardiogram - This is similar to a trans thoracic echocardiogram but uses a special dye to highlight the blood vessels and valves of the heart.
- Dobutamine stress echocardiogram - This test uses a medication called dobutamine to stimulate the heart and make it beat faster. It helps diagnose coronary artery disease and other heart conditions.
- Assist Transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) - This involves inserting a probe through the mouth to capture high-resolution images of the heart from inside the esophagus.
- Perform and report Treadmill test - Also known as a stress test, this measures how your heart functions under physical stress.
- Perform and report Holter monitor and ECG - A Holter monitor records your heart's activity over 24 hours, while an ECG shows your heart's rhythm in real-time.
- Maintain inventory of materials in department - You'll be responsible for ensuring that all necessary supplies and equipment are on hand and properly stored.
- Preparation, recording, interpreting, and filing of all procedure protocol and reports - You'll need to document every step of each procedure, including any results or findings.
- Ensure all equipment is properly tested and calibrated - Regular maintenance is crucial to ensure accurate readings and prevent malfunctions.
- Responsible for data protection and risk management, health and safety, infection control and prevention - Your role requires strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
- Able to manage emergencies like cardiac arrest and cardiac arrhythmias - Stay calm and respond promptly in crisis situations.
- Work according to code of conduct and operational procedures of the trust - Adhere to established guidelines and best practices at all times.
- Treat patients, relatives, and other health personnel with utmost respect and dignity - Maintain a professional demeanor and compassion towards everyone you interact with.

Requirements:
- Associate degree in a related field such as cardiovascular technology or radiologic sciences.
- Current certification as a registered cardiology technician (RCC)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records systems.
