Database Administration Role

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Database Administrator to support our organization in its pursuit of excellence. The successful candidate will possess at least 2+ years of experience in database development, specifically in a large enterprise environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain databases using Intersystems IRIS/Cache (Ensemble)
  • Implement robust security protocols and access control measures
  • Optimize database performance through capacity planning and tuning
  • Design and implement reliable backup strategies for IRIS
  • Develop and implement comprehensive disaster recovery plans
  • Ensure high availability and interoperability across systems
  • Configure reporting and mirroring functionalities
  • Maintain IRIS installations, upgrades, and database patching
  • Resolve complex issues through troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Oversee database maintenance solutions
  • Integrate monitoring and support tools within IRIS

The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge in the mentioned areas and a solid understanding of database design and data modeling principles. Experience in integrating IRIS with ETL/BI software, ticketing systems, release management systems, and Agile methodologies is highly desirable.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 2+ years of experience in database development
  • Expertise in Intersystems IRIS/Cache (Ensemble)
  • Strong understanding of database design and data modeling concepts
  • Experience in integrating IRIS with ETL/BI software
  • Familiarity with Azure and Agile methodologies
