Main Responsibilities

  • Procure and manage spare parts, consumables, and technical equipment for vessels.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and high-quality products.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure reliable support.
  • Process purchase requisitions from vessels and fleet management teams efficiently.
  • Evaluate and coordinate order placement, tracking, and follow-ups accurately and timely.
  • Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to arrange delivery of goods to vessels worldwide.
  • Monitor and control procurement budgets effectively.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
  • Review and verify supplier invoices for accurate payment processing.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with policies, maritime regulations, and classification society requirements.
  • Record purchases, contracts, and vendor agreements accurately.
  • Assist during audits related to procurement and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with vessel superintendents and technical teams to fulfill purchasing requirements.
  • Provide alternative solutions when specific parts are unavailable.
  • Keep vessels updated on order status and delivery timelines.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with international maritime laws.
  • Proficiency in procurement and inventory management systems.
  • Experience in international logistics and customs clearance for marine spares.
