Telecom Network Audit Specialist


 

Job Description:

The Senior Telecom Network Audit Consultant will have a strong technical understanding and hands-on experience with Telecom Network technologies, including 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G, as well as Transmission technologies (Microwave, FTTH, DWDM), and Core networks (Circuit-Switched and Packet-Switched)

They will be responsible for conducting audits of telecom network elements, identifying and evaluating risks associated with telecom network operations, and proposing effective mitigation strategies and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting internal audits within telecommunications or networking environments to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Providing recommendations for improving telecom network processes, methodologies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and minimize operational risks.
  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation of audit findings, observations, and recommendations, and preparing detailed reports for stakeholders and management.
  • Liaising effectively with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, security professionals, and compliance officers, to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Staying abreast of evolving technologies, industry trends, and regulatory developments impacting core network operations, and adapting to new tools and methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in telecommunications, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in related field (Network Planning, Design or Operation), preferably in internal audit, Consulting, advisory, professional services, and/or Industry.
  • Proven track record in conducting internal audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate audit findings, prepare detailed reports, and effectively communicate with stakeholders and management.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or equivalent certifications would be advantageous.
  • Flexibility to travel to other locations is essential.
