Job Opportunity:

Financial Modelling Specialist

Location: Remote Working

Responsible Region: Global

Job Description:

  1. Develop and maintain complex financial models for solar PV and energy storage projects, including building, structuring and running models.
  2. Evaluate RFPs to populate required and relevant assumptions into the financial model used for bidding processes.
  3. Collate and coordinate inputs from various teams, including development, project financing, finance, EPC and others, to populate assumptions and structure in the financial model.
  4. Support development, EPC and financing teams in running case runs and scenarios to seek optimal economic benefits and analyze key drivers.
  5. Assist model auditors with model audit processes as required.
  6. Support lenders with models during project finance processes as required.
  7. Take ownership of financial models; support the bidding team on all matters related to financial modelling.
  8. Maintain and update financial models pre and post financial close.
  9. Prepare presentations related to financial analysis.
  10. Train and supervise incoming junior modelers.
  11. Perform other tasks assigned by senior executives.

Qualification Criteria:

  1. A business, finance or accounting degree from a reputable institution.
  2. At least 10 years of experience in building, developing and running project finance-based financial models.
  3. At least 4-5 years of financial modelling experience in solar/renewable projects.
  4. Hands-on execution capability with a can-do attitude and strong passion for financial modelling.
  5. Ability to work in a team environment and engage in cross-functional collaboration.
  6. Recognized university degree - Bachelor or above.
