We are seeking a senior backend engineer to lead our dynamic team. You will leverage your expertise in front-end technologies and video streaming to create exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex backend projects, focusing on performance improvements and migrations.
  • Work with tools like FFmpeg, GStreamer, or similar to manage various codecs and formats.
  • Design scalable solutions for video processing features, including encoding, transcoding, and adaptive streaming.
  • Enhance video storage, retrieval, and streaming performance through CDNs, caching, and adaptive bitrate streaming.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements, design solutions, and deliver impactful features.
  • Serve as a technical leader within the team, making architectural and design decisions that balance immediate needs with long-term scalability and maintainability.
  • Mentor junior engineers by providing code reviews, design feedback, and technical guidance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions to enhance system reliability.

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science from a top-tier institution.
  • Over 7 years of backend software development experience, with a strong emphasis on distributed systems and video processing.
  • Proficient in backend technologies such as Python, Java, or Go, with experience in building scalable, high-performance systems.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with video technologies, including video codecs, compression techniques, and multimedia frameworks.
  • A proven track record of serving as a tech lead and managing complex initiatives within the team.
  • In-depth understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design.
  • Strong experience in performance optimization, debugging, and scaling complex applications.
