Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to take on the role of Senior Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end credit underwriting and monitoring of personal loans through digital channels.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  1. Developing and implementing underwriting policies that ensure optimal risk management and portfolio performance.

  2. Collaborating with the Data Science team to analyze underwriting models, validate their performance, and identify areas for improvement.

  3. Monitoring portfolio profitability, funnel metrics, and risk thresholds to inform strategic decisions.

  4. Implementing automation solutions to minimize manual intervention in credit assessment processes.

  5. Determining optimal pricing strategies based on segmentation analysis.

  6. Standardizing policies and processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.

  7. Conducting regular portfolio analysis and recommending policy changes to the Policy Head based on the results.

Performance Monitoring

The ideal candidate will have expertise in:

  1. Portfolio analysis and recommendation of policy changes based on the outcomes.

  2. Periodical credit review of existing portfolios and conducting various analyses to identify high-risk segments.

  3. Taking actions to mitigate identified risks based on portfolio performance.

  4. Maintaining delinquency rates within company standards or benchmarks.

  5. Identifying technological solutions to enhance existing processes and portfolio management functions.

  6. Analyzing Management Information Systems (MIS) to monitor portfolio performance and risk.

New Partner Integrations

This role requires strong skills in:

  1. Understanding new channel partners' products and target segments.

  2. Requisitioning data from channel partners and creating policies based on product information and prevailing models.

  3. Facilitating data room exercises for new customer segments.

  4. Formulating policies considering expected loss rates.

  5. Overseeing implementation, UAT, and production testing of policies.

Relationship Management

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing relationships with partners, credit reporting agencies, and assisting in all credit operations.

  • Possessing a minimum postgraduate qualification in Finance, Statistics, or Management from reputable institutions.

  • Holding preferred qualifications such as BTech with MBA.

  • Having a minimum 7 years of experience with 3-4 years in risk management and policy creation.

  • Displaying excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency in working with large structured and unstructured datasets using various data processing tools.
