Job Description

As a skilled backend developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient systems using Node.js, TypeScript, and microservice architecture.

This role involves architecting, developing, and maintaining complex software systems that meet the needs of a rapidly growing business. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Backend Development: Design and implement scalable and secure backend systems using Node.js, TypeScript, and distributed microservice architectures.
  • Frontend Development: Build responsive user interfaces using React and Next.js to complement backend capabilities.
  • Code Ownership: Write high-quality, maintainable code for both backend and frontend systems.
  • Collaboration: Work with Product Owners, Business Analysts, UX Designers, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions.
Requirements:
  • Must Have:
    • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in building scalable, distributed backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript.
    • Proficiency in developing user interfaces using React, Next.js, and modern frontend frameworks.
    • Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservice architecture, and API design.
    • Experience building responsive UIs using React, Next.js, Redux, and TypeScript.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps and containerisation with Docker.
  • Professional Skills:
    • Experience working on high-traffic platforms or products serving millions of users.
    • Proven ability to mentor junior team members and lead by example.
  • Good To Have:
    • Experience with Ionic or similar hybrid mobile application development frameworks.
    • Advanced knowledge of Azure services such as Kubernetes and CosmosDB.
