Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Investment Expert to spearhead our DeepTech startup investments. This role requires a highly analytical and research-driven individual who can evaluate emerging startups and identify growth opportunities.

  • Key Responsibilities

    • Evaluate DeepTech startups for investment potential, focusing on technology readiness, business models, and founder-market fit.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the industry, including technology incubators, accelerators, and bankers.
    • Conduct market landscaping and sector mapping to stay ahead of trends in science-based innovation and breakthrough technologies.
    • Support due diligence efforts, including technical and commercial evaluation, and prepare investment memos for presentation to the investment committee.

  • Portfolio Development

    • Work closely with founders to track milestones, financials, and fundraising readiness, ensuring timely support and resources.
    • Assist in building post-investment value creation plans, aligning with the company's strategic objectives.
    • Collaborate with incubators, labs, and academic networks to provide technical support and guidance.

  • Operations Support

    • Manage investment documentation and compliance, ensuring seamless internal processes.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date databases for deal flow, portfolio, and LP reporting inputs.
    • Support the preparation of presentations for LPs, partners, and ecosystem engagements, showcasing investment performance and potential.

Requirements

  • A strong analytical mindset, combined with excellent research and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of finance, financial modeling, and valuation techniques.
  • Familiarity with DeepTech sectors, including TRL stages and commercial viability of research.
  • Prior experience in VC, private equity, investment banking, or startup ecosystems is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into actionable insights.
  • A proactive, resourceful approach, with comfort working in unstructured, early-stage environments.
