Senior Windows Administrator Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Windows Administrator to join our core infrastructure team. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone with extensive experience in managing Windows servers and operating systems.

About the Job
This role involves installing, configuring, and managing Windows servers (2012/2016/2019/2022) in both physical and virtualized environments. You will be responsible for monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and applying security patches and updates. Additionally, you will administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Clustering.

Responsibilities
  • - Install, configure, and manage Windows servers (2012/2016/2019/2022) in physical and virtualized environments.
  • - Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply security patches and updates.
  • - Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Clustering.
  • - Manage user accounts, access rights, and permissions to ensure compliance with security standards.
  • - Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • - Perform server hardening and security configurations.
  • - Collaborate with application, database, and network teams to ensure system integration and performance.
  • - Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell or other scripting tools.
  • - Document processes, procedures, and system changes for knowledge sharing.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • - 5 - 8 years of hands-on experience as a Windows System Administrator.
  • - Strong knowledge of Windows Server OS, Active Directory, Group Policy, and related services.
  • - Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V).
  • - Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure/AWS) for hybrid infrastructure management.
  • - Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • - Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls).
  • - Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
  • - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Bonus Points
Candidates with experience in centralized patch management, standard policy implementation, log analysis, ensuring high availability, liaising for security aspects, patch and upgrade management, managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls will be highly valued.
