Job Title: Data Scientist

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Scientist to join our team. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining Laboratory Data Management (LDM) tasks for the studies awarded to our organization.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Management and Python Programming: We require 2-3 years of experience in data management and Python programming. You should have basic knowledge of Python programming and data management procedures obtained through prior work experience or education.
  • Independence and Teamwork: You should be capable of taking up, independently or providing inputs for, Python programming activities pertaining to ongoing study requirements or any other ad-hoc projects in the department.
  • Communication and Documentation: You should create and/or review all appropriate data management documents. You should understand and comply with core standard operating procedures and working instructions.
  • Leadership and Training: You will develop and maintain good communications and working relationships with LDM team members. You will serve as a back-up for other Data Team Leads.
  • Customer Service: You will interact with internal and external team members to negotiate timelines and responsibilities. You will train and mentor junior staff in DM expertise.
  • Quality Control: You will ensure service and quality meet agreed upon timelines and deliverables in data transmission agreements. You will perform comprehensive quality control and edit check procedures.
  • Project Management: You will manage project timelines and quality issues, and identify and justify out-of-scope client requests.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience in software configuration and validation is required.
