Visual Effects Mentor Position

This position is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned VFX Supervisor to join our team and play a key role in guiding our artists towards achieving outstanding visual effects.

  • Our ideal candidate will provide comprehensive Houdini software training, covering various aspects from basic to advanced levels, focusing on film and advertising needs.
  • The successful mentor will have expertise in teaching RBD Fracture Simulation, Cloth Simulation, Water Simulation, Fire Simulation, Crowd Simulation, Grain Simulation, and Plant Instance Simulation.
  • Key responsibilities will include tutoring in creating effective look development techniques for convincing results and developing solutions for integration between Houdini and Autodesk Maya or Blender.
  • The selected candidate will also be expected to teach in-house VFX Artists to enhance their skills and provide insight into global cinema experience.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience as a VFX Supervisor in the film, animation, or TV series industry.
  • Proven knowledge of the overall VFX workflow and production process.
  • A strong background in working with Houdini, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in compositing principles, preferably with Nuke.
  • Familiarity with the Blender workflow is a plus.
  • A solid understanding of 3D modeling, lighting, and rendering techniques in Maya or Houdini.
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Strong artistic skills with attention to detail.
  • Fluency in the English language.
