We are seeking a skilled Senior Architect to lead high-impact projects and drive innovative solutions across various sectors.

Job Summary:

  • This role involves overseeing large-scale consultancy projects with full design and regulatory strategy oversight.
  • The ideal candidate will also own small to mid-value projects independently, managing design, compliance, and seamless delivery.
  • The Senior Architect will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and ensuring architectural documentation meets client and statutory requirements.
  • This includes chairing interdisciplinary meetings, coordinating teams, setting clear project goals, and managing resources to meet strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform thorough reviews of architectural, civil, and MEP drawings for accuracy and compliance.
  2. Identify and resolve design or coordination issues in MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
  3. Collaborate closely with internal and external MEP engineers, leading coordination meetings to prevent technical clashes.

Compliance & Permit Liaison:

  • The Senior Architect will be responsible for owning the permit application strategy and maintaining proactive communication with regulatory authorities.
  • This involves interpreting and enforcing local/national building codes, fire regulations, PESO guidelines, NBC, and municipal by-laws.
  • The role requires submitting compliance documents and managing technical responses to authority queries.

Team Management:

  • Mentor architects, drafters, and interns to ensure well-coordinated technical outputs.
  • Uphold high-quality standards for documentation and design integrity.
  • Develop and implement quality control protocols for architectural and MEP coordination across projects.

Requirements:

  1. An accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture is required.
  2. Minimum 5+ years of post-qualification experience leading multidisciplinary commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects is necessary.
  3. Deep experience in preparing and submitting statutory documents to municipal and specialist agencies (e.g., PESO, Fire) is essential.
  4. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and MS Office; experience with project scheduling tools is beneficial.
  5. PREFERRED: Demonstrated hands-on experience with MEP drawing review, coordination, and quality assurance.
  6. Exceptional technical communicator, adept at leading meetings and coordinating with clients, authorities, and consultants.
  7. Strong knowledge of building codes and standards including UDCPR, NBC, IBC, and NFPA.
  8. Registered Architect with the Council of Architecture (COA) is a plus.
  9. Proven skills in team leadership, mentoring, and process improvement.
