GitLab Administrator Role

This is a key leadership position that plays a pivotal role in the success of our organization by implementing, managing, and securing GitLab infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent collaboration and communication abilities, and a proven track record of successfully implementing and managing complex software solutions.

  • We are seeking a highly skilled individual to assess our current infrastructure and determine the requirements for implementing GitLab. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams to understand Enterprise Architecture and Security standards, providing designs and implementations based on those.
  • The ideal candidate will collaborate and liaise with internal and external teams to integrate GitLab with existing tools and services used by the corporation, configure and manage security settings and access controls for GitLab, and implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and Azure DevOps.
  • A key responsibility of this role is providing training and support to team members and engineers on using GitLab effectively, assisting with the development of training materials, and monitoring and troubleshooting any issues with GitLab infrastructure.
  • Additionally, you will implement best practices for version control, code review, and collaboration using GitLab, work closely with development teams to ensure successful adoption of GitLab, and develop and maintain documentation for GitLab setup and usage within the enterprise.
  • This role also involves recommending best practices around Microsoft Azure, collaborating closely with the team to tackle tasks based on priority and requirements, and enabling advanced security features such as DAST and API Fuzzing.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing Windows and Linux instances, performing troubleshooting of issues on infrastructure, and collaborating closely with the team to tackle tasks based on priority and requirements.

  • We are looking for someone who can create security and compliance policies on GitLab that reflect departmental policies, configure backups, and create disaster recovery plans for our GitLab platform.
  • You will also implement Single Sign On authentication, configure email delivery capabilities, perform migration of all data from our previous GitLab Self-Managed instance to the new one, and install and enable advanced search capabilities on GitLab.
  • Another key responsibility of this role is performing security hardening of our GitLab instance based on best practices, configuring data retention policies for GitLab, and contributing to deployment operations.
