Job Title: Financial Accountant

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing general accounting operations. This involves verifying financial transactions, reconciling account balances and bank statements, and maintaining a general ledger.

The accountant will also prepare month-end close procedures and analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
  • Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
  • Prepare financial statements
  • Assist with tax audits and tax returns
  • Plan, assign, and review staff's work
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Develop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP principles
Requirements:

Education: A degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

Certifications: Relevant certification such as CMA or CPA is preferred.

Skills: General computer skills, accounting software packages, MS Excel skills, and strong analytical skills are necessary.
