Aerospace Design Engineer

Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, integrating, and implementing technical solutions and compliance documentation that meet customer, regulatory, and airworthiness requirements. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results within agreed program, schedule, and manufacturing constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare design data according to GKN Aerospace standards, Operational Management System (OMS), and technical product requirements.
- Create design packages including interface documents, 3D models, product definition, requirement justification, and compliance documentation.
- Perform design validation through tolerance stack-up and understand changes from Change Orders (CO).
- Store, maintain, and release project deliverables, documents, and reports in Teamcenter, SAP.
- Support and participate in technical discussions, including creation and preparation of technical data and presentation of solutions.
- Support the creation and delivery of training material and initiatives relevant to the project.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
- 4-8 years of relevant experience in an engineering discipline, ideally within an aerospace environment and in multi-disciplinary engineering project teams.
- Hands-on experience in creating 3D models, 2D definition in Siemens TeamCenter and NX.
- Experience in creating 3D models, 2D product drawings independently.
- Knowledge and application of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
- Experience in stack-up analysis and knowledge of component change management processes.
- Ability to describe and present technical information to a wide audience.
